i've just realised very very shocking things.
i have to check some of them. but feel kinda excited!!!! aaaa

what is the cinematographic connection between Maya Deren and David Lynch? bad connection, i mean. or Martin Arnold and some stupid mobile advertisements? or American Beauty and its famous plastic bag and Jem Cohen and experimental theoreticians?

for the moment, i'll just say, that my favourite experimental cinema has always been influentual to musicians:

Robert Breer, experimental animation filmmaker from the States, created a clip (i wouldn't call it "video" for a song:) to New Order. by the way, New Order was one of experimental cinema supporters. one of my favourite experimentals.



and another one. the aesthetics and technique of post-dada style and particularly Stan Vanderbeek (mentioned before in this blog) works were "taken" or "borrowed" from his political films in Franz Ferdinand video. in this way, we do not see the idea of critical point of view on the society present in Vanderbeek films. what is only left is "funny images" and "sense of deconstrution".
